There are many things I wonder about with this Yankee team. Most of them center on the team's play and whether or not the Bombers can deliver No. 27 to The Bronx.
Yet, the mind wanders elsewhere. And since it is such a rarity anymore to see Joba Chamberlain on the mound, I have wondered about one hard to notice peculiarity — his hat.
To celebrate the new Stadium, the Yankees have been wearing a commemorative patch on their jersey sleeves and another on the back of their hats. Except for Joba. I have not seen him wear the inaugural season hat this year. He may have. But I know for a fact he also has taken the mound with the standard hat with the MLB logo on the back.
It's a small detail that apparently hasn't been noticed by the organization, either. Or if it has, it's been fixed. But it may be something you want to take a look at next time he's on the mound.
Whenever that is.
